Personal Protective Equipment: Essential for a Safe Workplace

Quick Cable's Chemical Safety Wear provides battery industry optimum protection when contact with acid occurs

According to OSHA Code of Federal Regulation 29 CFR 1920.132, “Protective Equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head and extremities, protective clothing, shall be provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition.”

Failure to comply with OSHA regulations at the workplace could cost your company thousands of dollars in OSHA fines and more importantly, could put employees at risk of serious injury.

Quick Cable Personal Protective Equipment is designed for workers handling acids or batteries. Sold as a kit or individually, Quick Cable PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) includes face shield, goggles, rubber shoes covers, Nitrile gloves, vinyl apron and emergency eye wash bottle.  And using them works!  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 1% of approximately 770 workers suffering face injuries were wearing face protection. Which means, those that wore their PPE typically avoided injury.

But as important as it is to have the PPE on hand, it is more important to have your workers properly trained in wearing their PPE.  A thorough safety-training program goes a long way in keeping your workforce safe.
